Account code was not recognised

Your account code is normally 10 characters long, with the first 5 being letters and the last 5 numbers (e.g. FERNH92773). It was emailed to you when you first registered and is the code you enter when you logon to the web site.

The account has no credit left

You should have received warnings that you were running low on credits so if you haven't you might need to update your details by logging in.

You can purchase more credits through the Customer Zone on the website or by calling 0870 241 3310 during office hours. You should have received an email to warn you that you were running low. If you didn't then you should check the email address we have on your account is correct.

This license key cannot be used from this IP address, the security settings for the license key may not include this IP address

You can set IP address restrictions against a license key and an attempt to use it from another IP has been made (the rogue IP is shown below).

If the IP address should be allowed to use the service, alter the security setting against the license key in the. Please call us on 0800 047 0493 if you need any help.

This license key cannot be used from this web site, the security settings for the license key may not include this domain

You can restrict license keys to certain web sites and an attempt to use the license key from an unlisted website has been made. The website that tried to use the popup is shown below.

If you want to include this website please log in to add it - remember to include any other domains (.com, .biz etc.) that you have pointing to your web site. You should have received an invoice to renew your service, so all you need to do is log in to pay. If you haven't please call us.

License key was not recognised

We can't find that license key on your account. It may be that you haven't entered the license key properly. Your license key contains 4 sections, each separated by a hyphen (e.g. UJ23-W73-FM43-HY66). A license key isn't the same as your account code (10 characters) or your password.

You can create a new pay-as-you-go license key in the customer zone. You can also get a list of the different license keys on your account there.

The license key has reached its daily limit, please check your settings or wait until tomorrow

You can alter the daily limit by logging in, then click on "Pop-ups and licenses" then choose the licence to update, "Open Editor" then follow the wizard.

Service not available from this IP address

An attempt was made to access your account from an IP address which appears in your block list. An IP address may also be temporarily barred from using your account if you have the IP limiter enabled on one of your license keys.

The list of blocked IP addresses for your account is maintained in your account security settings. You can increase the daily limit for an IP address by editing your license key.

The account may have no credit left or the license key has exceeded its daily maximum

Your account may still have credit on it but the license key may have reached it's daily limit. You can set a daily usage limit for each license key so you can control your usage and make sure that your credits are not abused.

Your license key has reached it's limit and won't be available again until tomorrow. You can alter the daily limit by changing the security settings on your license key in the Customer Zone. You can also purchase more credits there if you need to.

You need to provide at least one letter of the street name when running the query. Otherwise, the query may take a long time and return too many items.

You didn't supply an origin parameter in your request. The origin can be a postcode, outcode (the first part of the postcode) or even the name of a town.

You didn't provide any destination parameters. These should be complete postcodes.

You must supply a complete postcode. If you only have the first part of the postcode then you should use the by_outcode method.

Please supply the name of a town or city. You don't have to supply all the name but as much as you can will make things faster.

You haven't supplied a valid style name. A list of valid style names is available in the Developer Centre.

The StartDate must be before the EndDate

The start date parameter must be before the end date parameter. Dates should be supplied in format day/month/year.

Valid languages are English and Welsh.

The license key is not assigned to a machine yet, you must assign it before you can use it

Before you can use Postcode Anywhere Desktop or Corporate, you must assign the license key you a computer. This is done automatically when you save your settings.

Check that your account and license code are entered into the settings and make sure they have been saved.

User licenses are designed for desktop applications (the MachineID was required but not supplied). Check that you're using the right license

The license key is already assigned to another machine or user

This license key is already in use on another machine. It must be transferred to this machine before it can be used.

If you are using Postcode Anywhere Desktop, go into the tools menu -> settings -> click on save to transfer the license to your machine.

You can't use click licenses in desktop applications, instead you need a user license. Check your license key or contact Postcode Anywhere for a free trial user license

Location queries require a town or outcode parameter

This type of license can only be assigned to a machine once

You are using a special type of license which cannot be transferred between computers.

Unusually high account usage detected, account temporarily suspended

We constantly monitor your usage to keep it secure and in the last minute there's been unusually high usage. Our security system has taken the precaution of suspending your account for 1 hour.
