MyTables let you build your own web services simply by uploading your data.

MyTables fulfils the needs of many organisations: the need for flexible, elastic SQL-like structured storage that’s widely accessible.

Built on top of Postcode Anywhere’s unique Common Service Runtime, a MyTable is a simple table that is accessible through a range of SQL-style services: Select, Insert, Update and Delete.

Shapes and geometries

MyTables supports importing data from ESRI Shape files

In addition, MyTables now supports importing from ESRI Shape files (such as lines and polygons) along with a wide range of custom GIS functions to enable spatial searching of MyTables.

You can store shapes and perform operations on them within MyTables, including point and polygon searching, distance searching, and a range of other custom functions. This feature is particularly suited to GIS applications and in mapping out boundaries and territories. All results support on-the-fly coordinate resolution reduction to enable zoom layering and coordinate conversion (e.g. between OS easting / northing and latitude / longitude).

Multiple endpoints

Not only are MyTables available through SOAP interfaces but also any endpoint supported on the Platform. For example, data in a MyTable can be exposed using JSON in the Web client or through an automatic UI in the Windows client without any additional development.

MyViews

Finally, MyTables can be joined using MyViews to allow cross-table querying, offering the greatest possible range of SQL operations and even backup and restore operations.
