Creating and managing your account is simple.
You need to register to get an account code and a license key. Registration is free and
places you under no obligation to buy. We provide free credits to test the service and
you can also use our "free" postcode, WR2 6NJ, which doesn't consume any credits (for
UK address lookups). Contact us if you're a developer who needs credits for extensive
testing.
When you are happy that the service is working properly you can:
- Buy online (you need to be logged in).
- Call us to buy on 0800 047 0493.
You can use Postcode Anywhere when we receive payment or on receipt of a purchase order
(by arrangement only). Payment can be made by credit/debit card, BACS or cheque.
An e-invoice is generated automatically and a receipted invoice is emailed on payment.
There is a facility that automatically tops up your credits when you're running low.
Otherwise, you will receive automated warnings telling you when you need to buy a new credit
pack or licence.
The simplest licensing option is pay-as-you-go which supplies UK and international bank
validation, Acorn lifestyle profiling, route planning, data cleansing, geographic data
(accurate to 1 metre) and international address services. This can be used on websites or
in desktop applications/intranets.
Pay-as-you-go is also available for UK address verification in public facing websites and
for low volume office use (500 credits per year). A server license is also available for high
volume websites and office use. You can also licence per-user for use in desktop applications.
We recommend using the product finder tool
to see which UK addressing option is best for you, or call us on 0800 047 0493 for advice.
We have 4 different credit pack types:
- UK address validation for websites - using Royal Mail PAF data;
- Standard credits - data capture for non Royal Mail data (international address capture, BACS/IBAN & credit card validation, lifestyle profiling, store finder, geocoding, route planning, etc.)
- UK addresses for internal use - low volume internal use using Royal Mail PAF;
- Royal Mail Postzon for Objective 2, parliamentary, ward, district or NHS codes and coordinates accurate to 100 metres;
Each of the 4 credit pack types has its own pricing structure as follows.
The type of lookup determines the number of credits consumed. This
table shows how many credits are used per search type:
