The deployment tool lets you install the Postcode Anywhere Client lookup software on all of the PCs on your network with just a few clicks of your mouse. We all know how much easier it is when you don't have to look the users in the eye when you install software for them, so we've tried to make things as easy as possible.

When you first start the deployment tool this is the screen that you are faced with:

Whilst this isn't the most exciting screen in the world it is performing a very important task. It is scanning your network for available PCs to install the Postcode Anywhere Client software onto.

Once the list of available PCs has been compiled you need to enter your account details and decide where you want the software to be installed from and to on each PC.

If you want to use a pay-as-you-go licence key in the client software then enter your account code and pay-as-you-go licence key in the boxes provided. If you only have user licences to use then only enter your account code here and distribute the keys to users separately. The first time they use the software they will be prompted to enter their licence key details.

Now choose where the software is held at the moment i.e. on your PC under C:\Program Files\Postcode Anywhere Client. You also need to decide where to install the software to on each PC i.e. probably the same location as above!

Finally you need to choose which PCs you are going to install the software onto. You can choose to install onto all PCs or all servers, or just select each PC / server individually. Once you're ready click the Install button to get things going.

With the installations underway the final screen shows the progress of the installations. Once the installations are done the report displays the final status of each installation.

That's it. Postcode Anywhere Client is now installed on your users' PCs and ready to go!
