A comprehensive API with wide support
We support the widest number of environments and use cases, have more endpoints, more samples and more code snippets to take the pain out of developing on the web.
All of our services will work with a variety of end points, so you should find using our services as easy as you want it to be. Our API is expanding all the time, so if you don't see what you want then let us know! We're happy to add support for new services and new technologies - just tell us what you'd like to see.

End Points
Most web services are all about SOAP but we recognise that things are a lot more complicated than that. That's why, along with SOAP, we also support XML-RPC, JSON, several flavours of XML and even CSV + TSV.
SOAP
Our SOAP service has been carefully developed to be more widely supported than the native implementations found in regular environments. Our extensive experience means that we can automatically identify certain SOAP clients that are known to cause trouble and adapt to support them.
JSON
Native JSON support means that it's easy for you to build AJAX-style web sites without all the fiddling of XML. We've even got JavaScript code snippets that you can drop right onto your page!
The JSON service also supports compression where supported by the browser, further improving performance for your users and minimising bandwidth.
Finally, the JSON service supports returns to a variable (specified in the CallBackVariable parameter) or a function (CallBackFunction).
XML-RPC
Needs little introduction and does what it says on the tin. This is a great addition for those environments which support XML-RPC as a lightweight alternative to SOAP.
XML - Attribute + Element
We support 2 flavours of XML - an attribute-oriented schema that contains meta-data on the content while being compact, and an element-oriented version that's easy to parse and translate.
Dataset + Recordset
These specific XML implementations are designed for ADO.NET and ADO users. Both support the native serialisation format so it's incredibly easy to get the data into your app.
Anything else?
If you can't see what you want - please tell us! If you'd like to see new code samples, new endpoints or new web services let us know and we'll try our best to extend Postcode Anywhere swiftly. We don't even charge for most extensions so don't be shy!
We've spent a long time making our platform easy to extend so we can support the rapidly changing needs of our customers. If you let us know your ideas and feedback we can continue to offer the best service and software.
